    i agree that it is extremely unlikely that there isn't other life. i think civilizations have come and gone many times. our star is fairly young so lots of time in the say 14 biliion years for other life and evolution. the chance that any of us will ever know is beyond remote though. as galaxies fly away from each other at faster and faster speeds...maybe all we'll be able to do is speculate.
