What is the goal of the site? A blog? A social network?

  I just want it to have a giant picture of someone smiling and say HOW ARE YOU FINE SIR! at the top. Seems simple enough, but I can't figure out how to do it.

  Very simple. Try scriptlance.com. You can get both the image and someone to code it for probably about $100.

  what??? i only spent $0.99 to buy the website for the year. literally I want it to say "HOW ARE YOU FINE SIR!" at the top and have a goofy picture of John Kacoyanis. Is there anything a bit more free I can do?

  Just copy / paste the above code. You also need to be able to upload your image to GoDaddy, then replace 'link_to_photo' with the http://link.com/to_image for your image

  well, i couldn't figure out how to edit the HTML. GoDaddy is very difficult to use. now what?

  Well - if you can login through an FTP client you could edit the index.html page that way or shoot GoDaddy and email and ask them if it is possible to edit the HTML for your site.

  I am useless with this stuff. Bottom-line, I would be willing to pay up to $20 to get what I want on the site: a banner at the top that says "How Are You Fine Sir!" and a large picture below it. Who wants the job?
